Donderdag 3 september was het eindelijk zover: de boorpalen voor de uitbreiding van CBS De Opdracht tot een volwaardig kindcentrum gingen de grond in. Voor zowel de school als kinderopvangorganisatie Kinderwoud is dit een belangrijke en veelbelovende stap.<\/p>\n

Het nieuwe gebouw, speciaal ontworpen voor kinderen van 0 tot 6 jaar door Jous Architecten uit Joure, wordt naar verwachting vlak voor de zomervakantie van 2027 opgeleverd. Daarmee komt er een einde aan een lange periode waarin Kinderwoud gebruikmaakte van MFC De Wier. De kinderopvang wordt dan volledig gecentreerd op de locatie van CBS De Opdracht.<\/p>\n

Het plaatsen van de palen ging zonder veel extra toeters en bellen. Op dezelfde dag vierde directeur-bestuurder Otto Hiemstra namelijk zijn veertigjarig jubileum in het onderwijs. Dat gaf (letterlijk) al lawaai genoeg en maakte het een dag met een dubbel feestelijk tintje.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
